My Story

Cars, adventure, photgraphy....

Hi! I am James, a photographer from the midlands. Since I was a kid I have loved three things - Cars, Cameras, Adventure. Welcome to JB22, my attempt to combine these 3 passions.

I grew up, as many young boys do, obsessed with cars. Formula 1 and Rally posters on my bedroom walls, Gran Turismo or Need for speed on my playstation, or Top Gear on the tv, I was thoroughly obsessed. Not surprising really when you look through my family history aswell. My grandfather was an engineer for Massey Fergussen Tractors, Dad is a lover of anything intersting with an engine, and mum was the daughter of one and married to the other so very used to coming home to find a disassembled engine block on the kitchen table! Its fair to say that cars are certainly an interest of mine!

Growing up I was also rarely without my camera, I always just enjoyed taking photos whilst out and about, especially on holiday being able to document the amazing places we were lucky enough to see. Whether it was a wide open landscape, an interesting road or a rickety old path. A forest, a beach or a city.

So, at the end of 2023, whilst solo-traveling on a train through a snow soaked mountainscape in the middle of Norway, the idea of JB22MEDIA was born. An idea that I could put together my love of cars, my passion for photography and my love of finding amazing and interesting places in the world.

This is what JB22 is all about - giving people pictures of the things they love, in awesome and interesting places! The more I have been doing it, and the more people I meet, I realise there are so many people who dont have good pictures of their pride and joy! SO this is where I come in. Be it for a framed picture to hang on your wall, content for you new car instagram or just to have a cracking phone wallpaper, I am here to give you the pictures you need!
